Products & Specifications
Models, performance, certification and what to expect on the road.
Do I need a licence or registration for Tunwal scooters?+
Our low-speed models (up to 25 km/h) need no licence or registration. High-speed models like the Storm ZX require standard registration.
Are Tunwal vehicles certified?+
Yes. Every Tunwal model is ARAI certified, meeting India’s safety and performance standards.
Which Tunwal models are available and what is the price range?+
Our line-up spans 12+ electric two- and three-wheelers — from the compact Mini Lithino (from ₹43,990) and Alfa Lite to the high-speed Storm ZX and Roma N, plus the Storm Advance 2 three-wheeler. On-road prices vary by city, battery option and state EV subsidy; use the compare tool or your nearest dealer for an exact quote.
What is the top speed of Tunwal electric scooters?+
It depends on the segment. Low-speed models are capped at 25 km/h (no licence or registration needed), while high-speed models such as the Storm ZX reach up to 85 km/h — ideal for daily city and highway commutes.
What motor and features do Tunwal scooters come with?+
Most models use a 250W BLDC (brushless permanent-magnet) hub motor and are rated IP65 for water and dust resistance. Standard features include a digital speedometer, anti-theft alarm with remote lock, tubeless tyres and USB charging on select variants.
Are Tunwal scooters suitable for Indian road and weather conditions?+
Yes. Every model is designed and manufactured at our Palsana, Rajasthan plant for Indian roads, with an IP65-sealed motor and electricals so you can ride confidently through rain, dust and rough patches.
Charging & Battery
Range, charging time, battery options and everyday running cost.
What is the range on a single charge?+
Depending on the model and battery, our scooters deliver from 50 km up to 110+ km on a single charge.
How long does charging take?+
Charging is as simple as charging your phone — typically 4–5 hours for lithium-ion variants.
Should I choose a lithium-ion or lead-acid battery?+
Lithium-ion batteries are lighter, charge faster, last more cycles and carry a longer warranty — the best choice for daily riders. Lead-acid variants cost less upfront and suit lighter, budget-focused use. Both are offered across most models so you can match range and budget.
Can I charge a Tunwal scooter at home on a regular socket?+
Yes. The supplied charger plugs into any standard 5A/15A household socket — no special wiring or public station required. A typical lithium-ion charge from low to full takes around 4–5 hours and costs only a few rupees of electricity.
Is the battery removable for charging?+
On select models the lithium-ion battery is detachable, so you can carry it indoors — to your home or office — and charge it conveniently without parking near a socket.
How much does it cost to run a Tunwal scooter?+
Running cost works out to roughly ₹0.15 per kilometre on electricity — a fraction of petrol — so you save every single day, with no fuel queues and far lower maintenance.
Warranty
Coverage on the vehicle and battery, and how claims work.
What warranty do I get?+
Lithium-ion batteries carry a longer warranty than lead-acid, backed by a 1-year comprehensive vehicle warranty and nationwide service.
How long is the battery warranty?+
Lithium-ion batteries carry a longer warranty than lead-acid, reflecting their higher cycle life. Exact terms depend on the model and battery variant and are stated on your invoice and warranty card at the time of purchase.
What does the warranty cover, and what is excluded?+
The comprehensive warranty covers manufacturing defects in the vehicle and its core electrical components. Routine wear items (tyres, brake pads, bulbs), physical or accident damage, water ingress from submersion, and damage from unauthorised modifications or third-party parts are not covered.
How do I make a warranty claim?+
Visit any authorised Tunwal dealer or service centre with your vehicle and the warranty card / invoice. The service team will inspect, verify coverage and carry out the repair or replacement. For help locating a centre, use the dealer locator or call customer care.
Is the warranty valid if I move to another city?+
Yes. The warranty is honoured across our authorised network of 400+ dealers in 19 states, so you can get service wherever you relocate within our coverage area.
Service & Maintenance
Servicing, spare parts and keeping your Tunwal in top condition.
Where can I buy and service my Tunwal?+
Through our network of 400+ dealers across 19 states. Use the dealer locator to find your nearest showroom.
How often does a Tunwal electric scooter need servicing?+
Electric scooters need far less upkeep than petrol vehicles — no engine oil, spark plugs or clutch. We recommend a periodic check-up (brakes, tyres, battery health and software) as advised in your owner’s manual, typically every few months or at set kilometre intervals.
Where can I get genuine spare parts?+
Genuine Tunwal spare parts are available through authorised dealers and service centres. For spare-parts assistance you can also call our dedicated spare-parts line listed on the Contact page.
Can I book a service or test ride online?+
Yes. Book a test ride from any model page or the header, and reach out via the Contact page to schedule a service or get connected to your nearest centre. Our team will confirm a convenient time.
How should I maintain the battery for the longest life?+
Charge with the supplied charger, avoid leaving the battery fully drained for long periods, store and charge it in a cool, dry place, and top up regularly rather than running it flat. Following the owner’s manual guidance keeps range and battery health strong over the years.
